At the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Northwest Division, race at Mission Raceway in British Columbia Canada, Casey Plaizier captured a win and a Wally in Super Gas (SG).Mission was a great win for us.

“This win was a special one for us as a team, as it’s our only Canadian NHRA LODRS race and we started the year with a completely re-done car”, said Casey Plaizier.

The event was part of a two-day double header weekend June 20th – 23rd at the famed western Canadian racetrack.

Casey Plaizier qualified number 7 out of 28 competitors in his ACE Racing sponsored ’63 Corvette with at 9.963 ET against a 9.90 index. After five rounds of eliminations and a great drag race in the final round, Casey, of Stony Plain, Alberta, was the in the winners circle accepting his NHRA Wally. To earn his win, Casey ran a 0.014, 9.937 ET at 151.64 MPH to defeate Ed Hutchinson who posted a 0.007, 9.893 ET at 160.82. The final round was a great drag race, where

According to Casey had said he had a couple of lucky rounds, the first round with a less-than-stellar reaction time but still managed to turn the win light on. The other, was in the in the semis, when his opponent had a -.003 red light, and then ran right on the 9.90 index.

Casey continues to become a force in the super classes. Plaizier was number four in the nation in SG in 2018. He has five prior wins: three in SG, and one each in SST and STK. He already has two runner-ups in SST and one in SG.
With this win at Mission, Casey picked up the 6th Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series win of his career, and improving his Divisional final round record to 6 wins and 3 losses.
